Mandy Mason is the Founder, CEO, and Clinical Director of Cognilab Learning, a Perth-based clinical practice that delivers individualised, science-driven programs designed to accelerate how children learn, think, and perform academically. A Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) with a Master’s-level qualification in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Mandy brings a rigorous, evidence-based approach to every learner she works with. Her practice is grounded in learning science and informed by nearly two decades of direct experience supporting a broad range of learners, from children who are struggling academically to those seeking to extend already strong abilities, as well as students with learning differences, attention and processing challenges, and developmental conditions. This work has placed her at the forefront of behaviour-analytic education in Australia.

Mandy’s path to clinical leadership is distinctive. She spent the first seventeen years of her career in international tax structuring, completing a Master’s in International Tax Law, before pivoting in 2007 to apply behavioural science to children’s learning. She launched a consultancy that year supporting families to access evidence-based intervention, and in 2008 founded The LEARN Foundation, an early pioneer of intensive, centre-based programs in Western Australia. Her work at LEARN earned her finalist recognition in two categories of the Telstra Business Women’s Awards. From 2014 to 2024 she served as Owner and Clinical Director of Fit Learning Australia, the Australian affiliate of the international Fit Learning network, before founding Cognilab Learning in 2024 to build on that clinical foundation with a uniquely Australian approach. Today, through Cognilab, Mandy continues to deliver clinically precise, individualised programs that produce measurable academic and cognitive gains for children of all abilities. Outside the clinic, Mandy is a Masters-level sprint athlete and the current holder of four age-category world records.

Brody keeps the business side of Cognilab Learning running smoothly. With a background spanning more than a decade in banking and finance, he oversees the numbers, logistics, and systems that let our clinical team focus on what matters most –  supporting our families.

From financial planning and payroll to the website, social presence, and the AI-driven tools helping us work smarter, Brody’s role is about building the infrastructure behind great therapy and tutoring outcomes. He works closely alongside Mandy Mason, Cognilab’s founder and clinical director, to make sure the business grows in a way that always puts families first.

Juju Mason, 22, holds the joint titles of Head of Fun and Head of Space Integrity at Cognilab Learning, and takes both roles seriously. Living with profound autism, Juju is the reason this whole journey began, and over the years she has become a quiet force of her own, having been at the centre of landmark Australian discrimination cases and achieving gains that have inspired families and clinicians around the world. She brings a discerning eye to the office environment (nothing escapes her notice) and a standard of joy that the rest of the team aspires to. She is, in every sense, Cognilab’s heart.

Diesel is our newest team member, at only 1 year old he’s also the youngest (he might even be the cutest). Alongside his older brother and sister, they provide comfort and fun for anyone who walks into the clinic.
