In 2004, Mandy Mason, Cognilab’s Founder, discovered her second daughter was regressing with profound autism. This took her from her corporate career, on a journey around the world to find evidence based teaching practices, that dramatically change learning outcomes. Cognilab incorporates effective teaching practices drawn from Precision Teaching, Direct Instruction and Behaviour Science, to individualise programs for children, working closely with families to determine important, transformative goals.
Cognilab is a place where we use Precision Teaching, Direct Instruction and Behavior Science to work with our learners with the expectations of making BIG gains, not small differences, or what we call LEARNING REINVENTED.
We do that by using precise programming, standing in our values of using science, applied with excellence and holding high performance standards, with the utmost level of responsibility, applied with passion, fun and laughter.
Mandy’s 20 year journey around the world and study in Behaviour Science, combined with her passion for empowering parents to bring out the best in their children by holding the highest standard of possibility open for them, has resulted in a program where children feel the difference the minute they walk through our doors.
We see the possibility in every learner, by looking at their existing skills, establishing individualised goals and using effective proven methods to profoundly impact their learning outcomes.
